About the Puppy Training 1 Course

Puppy Training 1 is the place to start if your puppy/dog is less than 8 months old.  If you’re only doing the self-study course and not taking the classes in person, then, of course, your dog’s or puppy’s age doesn’t matter!  The Fundamentals 1 and Puppy Training 1 self-study courses are exactly the same!  You’ll learn how to train things from the very, very basics, such as teaching your puppy/dog his/her name (or changing it), to possible life-saving behaviors, such as teaching your dog recall, stay and leave it.  The number of behaviors taught in this course will far exceed what other trainers offer!  You’ll also learn the reason you should consider training certain behaviors that you might not have otherwise as well as why certain things do or do not work well for your dog when it comes to training.

If you’re taking the course in person, you will also have access to the “self-study” version for the duration of the course.  What is the self-study version?  It’s the entire course set up on this website!  It includes how-to videos for every behavior taught in the course as well as tips to help you succeed and even what to try if you and/or your dog is struggling.  You can also download the handouts you would have received in the in-person classes.
